Is AYS compatible with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office?

Yes. At Your Service software is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word, and Outlook for all licensed users of version 2022 or higher.

64-bit versions of Microsoft Office are available for Microsoft Office 2010 and later versions. Microsoft Office versions 2010 and 2013 installed the 32-bit version by default. Microsoft Office versions 2016 and higher install the 64-bit version by default.

For information on selecting whether to install 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft office, see the Microsoft support article: Choose between the 64-bit or 32-bit version of Office.

Note

While At Your Service Software, Inc. is providing a limited amount of technical information here to assist you in setting up your software, it is ultimately the responsibility of you and your company to work along with your technicians and consultants to evaluate, select, install, test, and maintain these systems.

Note

At Your Service Software, Inc. does not provide support for installing, configuring, administering, or troubleshooting Microsoft Office products.

If you have not yet upgraded to a version 2022 license, but you are obligated to install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office for one of the reasons mentioned in the above-mentioned Microsoft support article, then you may have other options:

64-bit Microsoft Access: The AYS program does not use the Microsoft Access program to connect to AYS Microsoft Access (.ays) database files. You are able to manually open and edit AYS Microsoft Access (.ays) database files using 64-bit Microsoft Access.

64-bit Microsoft Excel workaround: To export data from the AYS program to an Excel spreadsheet file format (e.g. .xlsx) you can instead export data to a comma-separated values (.csv) file format. Open that file in 64-bit Microsoft Excel and then save it in the desired spreadsheet file format..

64-bit Microsoft Outlook workaround: If the AYS program is configured to send email using MAPI, then you may consider instead configuring the AYS program to send email using SMTP which does not require connecting to Microsoft Outlook.

64-bit Microsoft Word: There are presently no workarounds for automatically opening letter templates, envelope templates, and the label wizard in 64-bit Microsoft Word.
