Where can I download an older installer package for earlier versions of AYS?

A complete program installer package (.msi) is available for the last service pack of each program version from version 2.5 onward.

However, we recommend that you always install the latest AYS service pack to ensure that you have the newest features and resolutions to any reported issues. An older AYS license will still work with a newer program version.

Can I use a newer release of AYS with an older license?

The version 2025 AYS program installation will work with any AYS license that is version 2020 or newer. If you have an older AYS license then some newer AYS features may either be disabled, or a message may be displayed indicating which license version is required to use that feature. An exception to this is that a newer license version may be required if you have updated your Windows operating system to a newer version.

What is the maximum number of records that can be entered?

While the physical databases are capable of storing millions of records, the practical maximum number of records that can be entered in the various database tables depends much on the type of database, the number of simultaneous users, and the physical server hardware.

Experience has shown that Microsoft Access databases with 5 to 10 users experience a gradual slowdown as more records are added with the practical limit being in the range of 50,000 to 100,000 records per table. Microsoft Access databases also have a physical file size limit of 2 Gigabytes.

SQL databases are much more robust and still perform responsively with millions of records.
