Want to keep track of what parts are on order for a repair, or what repairs are waiting for a particular part?

AYS Repair Center keeps track of Repair Orders that are awaiting parts that are on order, as well as Purchase Orders that are needed for Repair Order completion.

Online Repair Status Lookup

AYS Repair Center includes a Repair Status Lookup feature that will upload repair status data either to the AYS servers (if subscribed to our annual hosting service) or to your own servers.  In either case the data may be accessed via your own website. The feature creates and uploads the web pages and data required for customers to access their repair information, check status and accept or reject estimates. Your business information and logo are displayed, whether the service is hosted by us or not. Note that as an alternative you can export the raw data to your own servers, which allows you to customize the look, feel and capability of the user interface if required.

The Repair Status Lookup software generates a basic web page that provides online repair status lookup in two ways, for customers who have only a single order, or those who need access to multiple orders.  Here is some sample data to see the software’s capability:

Single-Record Lookup

This provides the casual customer with the ability to lookup their repair Order status with a minimum of reference information. They can view each order one at a time and are able to accept or reject any estimates provided. Their response to the estimate uses their own e- mail program to generate an e- mail response which can be captured by AYS Repair Centre.

Multiple-Record Lookup

Where a customer requires multiple repair orders, or is registered as a repeat customer, the ability to log in and view any outstanding Repair Orders is provided. In order to access the list, the customer will require knowledge of their account number and password. These are generated when a customer account is created within AYS Repair Centre.

In your AYS installation, the heading information will be automatically replaced by your company name and logo, if you provide one.

How do I install the AYS Internet Utility as a service?

By default, the AYS Internet Utility runs as a stand-alone application, however it may also be installed as a Windows service running in the background. A service is advantageous in that it continues to run even if no user is logged in to the server or workstation.

If users are accessing the database by means of Remote Desktop services then it is recommended that the AYS Internet Utility be installed on the same server. Otherwise, if working with a Microsoft Access database, then it is recommended that the AYS Internet Utility be installed on the same physical machine that is hosting the AYS database.

There are two steps to installing the AYS Internet Utility as a service. First, the program must have sufficient rights to install, uninstall, and manage Windows services. Second, the service must be installed and then started.
