Avast antivirus software is blocking AYS software from running.
When you launch AYS, nothing will appear, though the Task Manager may show one or more tasks labeled AYS.exe *32.
While At Your Service Software, Inc. is providing a limited amount of technical information here to assist you in setting up your operating system, it is ultimately the responsibility of you and your company to work along with your computer support technicians and consultants to evaluate, select, install, test, and maintain these systems.
At Your Service Software, Inc. does not provide support for installing, configuring, administering, or troubleshooting antivirus software.
Cause
During the first week of December 2015, an automatic update released by Avast antivirus began blocking AYS software due to a false positive.
Resolution
On December 8, 2015, a formal report was filed with Avast Antivirus for them to identify and remove the false positive on AYS software. At the time of preparing this article, no reply has been received by Avast antivirus. Therefore we recommend one of the following options:
Option 1: Configure Avast antivirus to exclude the AYS software installation folder. By default that folder is one of the following:
On 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\At Your Service\
On 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\At Your Service\
Option 2: Uninstall Avast antivirus and use another antivirus product.
